Loved it!
Love love love this scent! I loved even more that it was on sale! It's very clean and calming. Smells fresh throughout the bedroom and the scent may seem to disappear, but if I leave the room and come back it is stronger than it seems!

Hard to get this candle
For years been trying to get this candle but it flies off the shelves in stores or sells out online A LOT. Apparently a favorite and I can certainly see why! I am thankful it is not mine and now I do have to chase it down no longer!
I do highly recommend it to others though, it is a highly wonderful smelling candle with decent throw. It is a very soft and sweet water fragrance that will remind you of fishing, sailing, or a tropical place (without the fruit).
But if you find this candle too elusive like I did then please try these other candles from Yankee:

Great ocean scent!!! Better than all the rest.
Love this item. We had a cousin reunion and since I live at the beach I bought all my cousins a votive cup and put ocean star candle in them. I wish it was available all the time because everyone loves this candle.

I love this scent!
I bought this first as a car air freshener last year and loved it, so I bought a large candle of this scent online during their semi annual sale. I wish they’d bring it back during summer as it’s an awesome scent. I’m not sure why they discontinued it!

First time buying Yankee Candles, my go to are soy but are getting increasingly harder to find. This is a great alternative and love the fragrance of Ocean Star, not overpowering but just right.

Beside the Beautiful Sea
This is a fragrance that absolutely transports me. I am an artist and I often paint seascapes and abstract works with an ocean-based theme. Ocean Star is one of my favorite fragrances to help set the mood when I am painting, since I live nowhere near a real ocean. It's a light, delicate fragrance with watery floral notes but I never have any issues with being able to detect its presence. If I leave my home for a moment (say to check to mail) I can always tell that Ocean Star is there when I come back, even though it's not one of Yankee's strongest scents. I love this fragrance for the summer, especially when it's really hot outside. Ocean Star delivers the sensation of a gentle breeze blowing in from the sea on a tropical beach.

Love any scents that are easy feeling. This scent gives me the feeling of the beach, fresh air, very aromatic. I really like all Yankee Scents but seasonal scents are important. This is a Spring and Summer favorite.

Could be Stronger
This is a good, fresh, light scent and it has a decent throw, but we wish it were stronger, although stronger fragrances seem to produce more soot. Although lately it seems the lighter ones do as well. Hope YC isn't going downhill.

At the beach for sure!!!
Memories of playing at the beach come to me when I light this candle. The kind that makes you go back to those hot but breezy days at the beach while sitting on the sand with the taste of saltwater on your lips. Overall an incredible buy !!

This scent has been my favorite for years to the car ultimate jar to the wax melt. It is so fresh i light it up for any occasion. Since they don't carry it at my local yankee store i purchased it online along with a couple more candles. Everything was well packaged. Thanks Yankee Candle :)

Good scent
This scent is fresh without a perfume laden smell. It has a nice, strong throw, but it doesn't remind me of the ocean. It's more like a soap scent that leaves the room smelling clean...think of a sensitive skin, fragrance-free body wash.

Not really an ocean scent....
It appears that I'm in the minority...to me, Ocean Star is not really an ocean scent. Although this candle is a lovely color and has a pretty label, the scent is reminiscent of a cheap aquatic-type perfume. I live near the Pacific Ocean; thankfully it doesn't actually smell anything like this fragrance. :)
I rarely have to use Y.C.'s generous 1:1 exchange policy, which I will do for this fragrance.
For a truer ocean scent, I recommend Y.C.'s long time loyal customers' favorite, Beach Walk.
For strong fragrance lovers: you may enjoy this one, but sniff it before you buy it.

I love this scent in our master bath
Not only the color but the scent of Ocean Star is perfect for our master bath. The color is aquamarine, and the scent is of the aquamarine ocean. Fresh, clear and light. Scents our bath and bedroom with the cool fragrance we need to lighten the heat of summer!! Perfect!!

The Best Aroma
This is the only fragrance I buy....it's one of the "Best" aroma available. Last Halloween 4 different families who came to my door said my home smelled soooooooo pretty and refreshing! Had only one large Ocean Star Candle burning while passing out candy. If.....you want to enjoy a great aroma don't look any farther.
