This candle has a great throw! It reminds me a bit of the old Ocean Water candle Yankee used to make. Perhaps it is the same scent with a different label, I've noticed Yankee do that from time to time. Enjoy!

Great Ocean Candle
This candle is my favorite of all of the "Ocean" scented candles by Yankee. I really like fresh candles and this is one is by far my favorite. It has a clean smell that just reminds you of the ocean, and the throw is so strong, it really scents a room. I love the beautiful label and packaging of this one. I will continue to repurchase.

Alot like Turquoise Sky
I bought this because it smelled like Turquoise Sky, which I love, so I thought I'd try something similar but a little different. Very nice! Burns well, and isn't too strong to where it's irritating.

Very Similar To My Favorite Yankee Candle Fragrance
My favorite Yankee Candle fragrance is Ocean Water. However, the color of the wax has been changed from an almost Turquoise Blue to a Powder Blue which does not match my decor. The search was on for a suitable replacement. Ocean Star is it. Love both the color of the wax and the fragrance which is very similar to Ocean Water. Love it and highly recommend it.

Very refreshing scent!
I tried this scent on a whim from the local store, and fell in love with it immediately. Wonderful refreshing layers into the mid notes, with a low note that hints at a fresh breeze on a Summer day. I will definitely get this candle again when it runs out.

love this refreshing scent.
I absolutely love this fresh, clean scent. Just the right balance, not overpowering. I just can't say enough. I purchased two and my granddaughter loved it so much that one went home with her and her entire family loves it also. This would be the perfect scent to give as a gift.

I don't agree that it's a weak scent. I find it to be stronger than most others. I smell mostly lotus blossom in this one, which I love! I had it lit for 3 hours and it filled a very large room strongly. One of the best, reminds me of sitting in the sand and the scent of sea salt hitting your nose.

I wasn't overly impressed with this scent. I didn't think it was a beach scent, it had more of a soapy smell to it. And the throw was not good - I had to stand right next to it to smell it. I love the color and the label though.

Fresh and relaxing scent
This is my favorite scent for my master bed & bath. It is very relaxing. I love fresh scents and this is one of the best. It is reasonably strong. I like strong scents so I keep this in a medium sized room so it fills the whole area. May not be the best for large rooms as its a bit subtle.

Great smell, burned badly
I love this new scent and it was strong enough to cover my room but the candle burned very badly. About a 1/2 of the way down it began to tunnel and nothing I tried helped. Once it tunneled so far the scent faded quite a bit.

Love at first smell
I love the fragrance of Ocean Star. I think that is because while it shares some notes with Yankee’s other fresh, blue fragrances, this one is less powdery flora. It’s more salty and fresh with a citrusy kick. Yes, you can actually smell the salt (and I can detect the smell of toasted seashells as well) and this gives the fragrance a wonderful ocean/marine smell.
This reminds me of when you come out of the ocean on a hot day with just the remnants of sunscreen on your warm skin. This is sun, ocean, sand. It’s such a lovely summer candle. Terrific in warm weather for it’s cooling inspiration and the aqua colour just helps to match the mood it projects and the throw is great.
I just bought a large one after trying both a tart and small jar. I just knew that this would be a summer favourite and it is. Now I want to have it on hand always. I really hope it’s not discontinued but alas, I know that it will be one day....

Beyond thrilled !!
This scent is wonderful...clean, salt air-fresh without being perfume like. Ocean Water (discontinued) was my favorite and this is almost identical. Nice throw but not overpowering. I plan to stock up on this one.

this is very nice
I love this when it first came out I was excited to get it I am a fan of the fresh smells most of witch are a blue-ish color. the color of the candle is pretty I like the label the smell is not overpowering its very suttle n light but at the same time it will fill a room, reminds me of a up scale beach spa.. I like to use it after I clean. and just keep the clean air going

Outstanding! My favorite new scent of the year
I'd like to thank the lady on the phone at YC who recommended this to me. She said it was her favorite new scent and she was right, it's now mine as well! But I can understand why some people are giving it a lower rating because it really doesn't have a pervasive salt-water smell. Instead it's more a combination of salt-water and lotus blossom, so it's a cleaner, fresher scent than one might expect from an ocean-labeled candle. I purchased Oceanside last year and thought it smelled like a polluted beach, this candle is far more clean and fresh without smelling perfumey. It's perfect, and I can't wait for it to go on sale again!

Pretty but Too Light Scented
I agree that Ocean Water is a much better candle. I love the design on the Ocean Star jar, I love the color and the scent is nice but it doesn't have the same salt air freshness or throw as Ocean Water. I might return it.

Ocean Star: Clean and Fresh
This is a good candle. I distinguish good from great because it is a great fragrance an while its not too weak it could be a little stronger. The throw is light to medium, I prefer medium to strong, however, it is a clean fresh fragrance and the bright wax color is beautiful - like so many YC candles. There is slight floral undertones to round out the ocean theme.
