This is a Woody fragrance.
The wonderfully clean, wintry fresh scent of a breeze blowing through a thick stand of pines. Top notes: Crisp Citrus, Herbal Notes, Red Berry. Middle notes: Pine Balsam, Cedar, Sandalwood. Base notes: Vanilla, Warm Amber, Musk. Top note is the initial impression of the fragrance, middle note is the main body of the scent, and base is its final impression.

Similar to Balsam and Cedar
It’s interesting that this one has the same fragrance notes as Balsam and Cedar. They are very similar. This one is a lighter scent, weaker throw, slightly sweeter, and less cedar. It is a nice scent for those who enjoy pine type candles. I would say that if you own one or the other of these two you don’t need them both since they are so similar… unless you collect them or want to switch up the aesthetics of the labels. I would probably choose B&C when I need to rebuy.

Nice but not what i hoped for
This is a lovely candle with a very mild scent. Thought it would be nice to try for the holidays but will stick to balsam and cedar which has a mich stronger scsnt we prefer.

Disappointing
Really disappointed in this candle. Balsam and Cedar is my favorite holiday scent and I was expecting this to be another favorite. There is almost 0 throw from this candle. I barely smell it even when standing right beside it. I would return it, however I ordered it online and not going to a store anytime soon.

The evergreen forest in a jar!
When you don't have the space or inclination for a real tree this brings the evergreen forest inside to you. It is a fresh pine scent that you get when you bring the tree, and evergreen boughs in to decorate--without the sticky pine sap. I still love the tree, but this makes it easy to bring it to every room of the home.

Barely any scent

Sweeter Cousin of Balsam & Cedar
Balsam Forest is a woodsy evergreen candle and a reimagined version of Balsam & Cedar (B&C). Both share the same fragrance notes, but the intensity of the notes in this candle are manipulated to create an entirely new scent. With Balsam Forest, the cedar notes are less intense and the pine balsam is more apparent, so it is less woody/sharp than B&C. Maybe it is because the cedar is softer that I notice the base notes more, but with this candle I pick up more amber warmth and the sweet undertones of the vanilla and berry notes. This further smooths out the woodiness that I find in B&C. Overall this has maybe 85% pine balsam and 15% other notes, so it is very Christmas tree-like. I don't say this is an improvement to B&C, but it is a fresh alternative to that classic Christmas candle. Throw is good: 7/10 and pools easily with an Illuma-lid.

I now own both and have burned each to see if they are the same. The candles share the same notes, but the notes have different intensity. Balsam Forest has less cedar so the pine balsam stands out more. I get more of the red berry, vanilla, and amber in Balsam Forest. Will do a full review on this scent.
