Beautiful
To get the best effect from this you really need to use a smaller candle or one that’s light in color as you can see in my candle jar. I have a very dark colored wax in it right now and it doesn’t do it justice but it is beautiful.

I initially purchased Yankee Candle's votive holder in this Vineyard Grapes design. The raised grapes and leaves on the "crackled" glass was so impressive, I decided to purchase another votive holder and the large jar candle holder. It is so lovely to see when each Yankee Candle large jar candle is lit and glowing through this holder. Even when the jar candle is not lit, the Vineyard Grapes design on the holder is beautiful. I display the two votive holders and the large jar holder within close proximity of each other -- stunning!

This is stained glass like. The golden threads are raised. We put it where the sun comes in to see the colors light up when not burning a candle. Also bought the barrel shade.

This candle holder is absolutely fantabulous! It is exactly as described and the quality is what you would expect from Yankee Candle. At first, I was apprehensive as I ordered this from an ad on Facebook and have been fooled before into believing a company was real. But this is the REAL Yankee Candle if you're ordering on Facebook. I will be using this year round. It's really pretty!

It won't kill it since the shade itself should have a top window so that *it* doesn't kill the flame of any jar it's on. But that would be likely be glass-on-glass -- or metal-on-glass, depending on which shade you use -- w/o insulation or padding or anything. Unlike the jar candles' glass which feels almost polished, crackle glass chips easily. But will the flame die? No.
