lovely..perfect addition
Lovely addition to my living room...will add felt to bottom as glass is a tiny bit rough on bottom but no big deal..I just don't want it scratching my furniture...get it though as it is really lovely

About this candle jar
I gave it the three stars because when I put my candle inside it doesn’t sit correctly. No matter how I placed it the candle would be uneven. I was disappointed. But the height and the width handle the YC jars just fine. I do like the gold sliver design and how it allows the candlelight to burst through it.

Beautiful bright glowing effect
I love to use this holder when I want a brighter light . The layers of gold in this holder really make the candle light sparkle. Its a nice pick me up for any room in the house.

I have 2 votives in mercury but I purchased them a very long time ago, maybe 4-5 years. I don't know if they still carry them.

Hello, thank you for your question. It depends on your preferences. The flame will lighten the holder anyway. However, if you prefer the holder to be bright in full, we would recommend to choose light color candles.
