Wouldn't recommend
I bought this with the intention of placing a Large Jar Yankee in it. The bottom of the jar is not flat (it is elevated in the middle) so the candle doesn't sit flat in the holder. It's also not quite tall enough for the purpose of a Large Yankee. Perhaps it is a better height for a Medium Jar candle, but I imagine you would still have the same issue with the bottom not being flat. Unfortunately, this product was a miss for me.

Looks lovely, but too short for original large jar
I do appreciate the gold and silver shimmer on the cracked glass. I like how you can see the flame through the glass, and how it reflects off the gold inner wall, giving it a brighter and warmer tone. But I don't like how it looks with the original large jar candles. The top pokes out, and it looks like they were never supposed to fit. Photos are using a slightly smaller candle.
Because you're putting glass into more glass, I recommend adding a piece of fabric or bubble wrap to the inside bottom. This way you can reduce unwanted chipping.

So beautiful. This candle holder is pretty even when it doesn't have a lit candle in it. It looks great on my mantle and since it isn't overly 'holiday', I think it will look good there all winter.

I have several of the YC Mercury collection and I was hoping this would be fantastic. While it looks great illuminated, it's not quite large enough for the large candle height wise, and the top is unfinished. It's a better fit for a medium candle, and I wish I didn't have to fear cutting my fingers on it. Lovely from across the room.

Beautiful but too fragile
These are beautiful holders, they match all seasonal decor, however, they are way too fragile. I was cleaning the mantle/dusting and it it broke after barely touching it. I bought another one to replace it because I love the look, however, same exact thing happened after cleaning/dusting the mantle and it broke again, shattered into numerous pieces.

This is advertised as a Mercury Candle holder. The item I received was not Mercury but gold crackled glass. I have tried to contact Yankee twice by telephone and four times by email. The chat does not work on the website. I was advised I would receive a refund and a return label to send the item back. To date I have received nothing.

Very pretty holder, but unfortunately a lot short
I really wanted to love this jar candle holder. Unfortunately, it’s a little too short. The top of the jar candle sticks up a bit above the rim of the holder. Consequently, it does not give the pretty ambiance you would expect in a candle holder of this nature. You don’t really get that until the candle is burned about a third of the way down, which takes time with a jar candle. If it had about 3 more inches in height, it would drastically improve this. Also, and it’s just my opinion (and what I was fearing), it doesn’t look very good with a darker wax of candle (which I primarily have in the fall and winter.) I am considering trying to use a shorter, battery operated candle, because it is a very pretty holder. It’s just not the intended use I was hoping for, but I really do not want to have to pay for return shipping (which is my bad for not closely checking the return shipping policy.)
