The fragrance notes changed from the original notes. There used to also be a tree note. Is it the exact same scent as years go ?

No, it's not the original scent. I have an original and one of the newer ones that were "released" and smelling them side by side, they are not the same. Original has more balsam scent to it with a vanilla cookie after smell. The new one doesn't appear to have any balsam. Its all vanilla cookie. Very disappointing.

The description of this fragrance says cookies, but the fragrance notes provided in the answers don't list any bakery notes. Could you confirm the correct fragrance notes? Thank You!

I bought several of these over the last two winters and the first winter (2019 season) had a much more “fruity wintery” smell while the newest, most recent batch definitely smells like a subdued sugar cookie. I get the bakery scent-for sure-while an “underscent” of wintery berry smells. The first batch leaned much more on the berry side, while the winter 2020 had a bakery scent, instead, with a tiny bit of berry undertone. I hope this answers your question without over complicating it. I had this with Sugared Plum (I believe that’s the name) and the exact same thing happened…winter 2019 was more fruity while 2020 had a more woodsy scent for some reason.

This issue has been going on with other candle companies as well! One being BBW. It’s been around 2 years for them. It’s very irritating to buy them, only to burn them, no throw or sooty wax, have to return! They should honor their sales pitches “America’s Favorite Candle” etc etc. Throw some more scent( or turn up the dial on the machine that dispenses!) in the wax!! Would 5-6 more drops of say Vanilla…make your companies go bankrupt??!! Stop worrying so much about what the jar itself looks like! We candle fanatics want the SCENT!! Maybe they’ll listen to us, the consumer? Just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone in the frustration

Why does the jar burn? It turns black burned before the candle is more than halfway full. I'm very dissatisfied and won't purchase anymore yankee candles. The wick turns into a mushroom look also

Always make sure to burn your candle in a safe place. Keep an eye on your burning candle. Keep all debris away from inside the candle. The wick should be trimmed to 1/8”. This will ensure a clean burn. If the wick is too close to the jar glass it will smoke and burn black. This will cause soot and oil stain on your walls and ceilings. Keep your candle in an upright, even area. I find having a topper burns the wax evenly. Burn your candle for an hr or so before expecting a scent. Yankee will exchange any candle with a wick or wax defect.

November 2020-This is NOT the “original” Christmas Wish scent. This year’s attempt is an improvement from last year’s edition, but it’s still not quite right. Overall the scent is very faint-it used to be much stronger, but in a pleasant way. The balsam was added back this year (last year was just a sugar cookie scent) but not in the correct ratio as in the original scent.
