Like fruity wine
I bought the 4 new spring collection candles in the minis to try. This one has the best throw, around 6/10 which isn’t bad for the size. I expected to really like this one after smelling it cold. It has a nice semi sweet plum/berry scent. However, once you burn it the sake/merlot/wine notes really come out. It ends up being a berry type fruit scent with the fermented adult beverage scents as well. The name of this candle really sums it up perfectly. Unfortunately I don’t drink and the alcohol like smell was a bit off putting to me. It really smells like wine in candle form and I know plenty of people enjoy wine so it might appeal to some people but it just seemed a bit of a weird scent to me. Just be aware if you smell this in person before purchasing, the scent on this one is quite different once it’s burning.
