Mistletoe - great for the whole winter!
Lovely pine scent! Very homey, not overpowering, and everyone in my family loves it. I start using them at Christmas but keep them all winter because I enjoy this scent so much.

Sadly, it has a very weak throw when burning.
I really wanted to like this candle. On cold throw it smelled amazing. I bought at least six at my local YC store. Upon burning, it has a very weak throw. I burned it several hours & even did a second burn the next day. I’m so disappointed! I was hoping these would give me a variation from my tried & true Balsam & Cedar. Unfortunately, my local YC store has closed for good & I can’t exchange them.

Disappointed
I was excited to launch the holiday season with Mistletoe while putting up my Christmas decorations. After an hour I paused and wondered why the house wasn’t filled with the scent of fresh greens. I thought perhaps I forgot to light the candle— even my husband made a comment that he didn’t smell anything. This is the first time I have been disappointed with a Yankee candle scent.

Evocative, earthy scent
I saw a YouTube review from Shane, the Candle Enthusiast, where he compared this fragrance to a Christmas tree after the holiday has ended, when the scent is more concentrated and dry - versus the scent of a fresh Christmas tree. I agree! Mistletoe is a very earthy scent with a good throw in a medium-sized bedroom (but lost in a larger room) and it smelled very like my tree as I was un-decorating this year and packing it off to be recycled into mulch. It's not a bad scent, but I'd prefer myself the scent of a fresh Christmas tree. That evokes happier feelings rather than the sadness of taking down your decorations.

It's exactly what you expect.
I bought this because i was a little upset they don't have the larger sizes of Holiday Bayberry right now so I bought a ton of tree-scented Holiday scents instead. I'm not big on a mistletoe and I probably won't repurchase just as a personal preference. But this does smell exactly as you'd think: it smells like mistletoe. It's a very clear, spicy green scent. Beautiful candle color too. Not to my personal taste, but a great scent for the holidays if you want to get away from the sugary "sparkley" scents of a lot of the Festive collection.

Cold sniff and scent note review
So far, my favorite YC pine scent is Pine Cone in the Pure Radiance collection. I did purchase this Mistletoe fragrance in a tart to test (but didn't use it, and returned since I'm picky about tart meltings) - but I kept sniffing this fresh fragrance and thought I may enjoy it during the holiday months, so I purchased this small tumbler. On cold sniff it has less of a "pine cone" fragrance so I wondered what could be the notes included, and I found out they are: top, aromatic greens; middle, pine needles and bark; base, sweet clove and spice. I like it! Whereas my Pine Cone is focused on the cone scent, this one focuses on the pine needles. Both have accompanying blend notes. I am saving this for the holiday season, and I hope it burns well. I am told that it will be back for holiday season 2016, so if the one I have (a 2015 pour) isn't working I'll just exchange for a different one. I want to say that I'm not happy with the dent in the top of my lid on the one I received in my online order, but it's not that big of a deal, I guess...I also don't like the bit of wrinkling/bubbling of the label (though I've seen worse). The candle itself seems fine, we'll see. Also to note: I see that this had been available in a Car Jar Ultimate, which I think would be adorable as a "hanging mistletoe" !! I am not a big fan of hanging car jars, but I like the cute idea of it in the Mistletoe fragrance.

Like a live Christmas tree
Of all the Yankee scents, this one smells most like a live Christmas tree. In fact, before moving to Africa, I bought a lot of these to burn during Winter since there are no pine trees in Africa.
Since then, even when I have a real Christmas tree, I still burn this candle to augment the natural scent of the tree.

So Festive! So Amazing!
I am in LOVE with this scent. I must admit, I purchase it in bulk. It is a lovely blend of holly, wood, and pine, which makes it a perfect addition to any Holiday festivity. Because it carries such a strong pine smell, it also works well as a year round odor eliminator. Regardless of what you use it for, if you are a fan of going Christmas tree shopping because of that amazing scent of pine, you will absolutely love this candle. It is my go to candle to gift during the holidays and I will shamelessly burn it in July. Its just incredible., but do not take my word for it. Experience it!

This scent is my all time favorite-holiday or otherwise.
The scent of mistletoe in the air reminds me that Christmas is coming. It is a fresh green smell that hints of morning dew or a light rain. I burn it all of Advent before we put up our pine Christmas tree to get ready for the holiday.

Wonderful Holiday Scent
One of my best friends gave me a Mistletoe candle many years ago and I fell in love with the beautiful scent. I use these candles from Thanksgiving to New year. Everyone who comes to the house (and there are many) asks "What is that great smell?" Happily I tell them it is a Yankee candle named Mistletoe. Now I order many for my home and some to have on hand and when they ask, I send them home with one. A wonderful plus is that I now receive them as gifts too.

Underwhelming, when lit...
I am heartbroken that Christmas Tree is a retired scent, and is growing increasingly more difficult to find in YC retail and outlet stores. Alas, I must find a suitable replacement, and thought I would give Mistletoe a try. While in the store, I have sampled quite a few in this category, and this one reminds me of Christmas Tree the most. However, it was a different story, once I got it home and lit it. The Mistletoe scent is very light, and does a great job of freshening the air and staying in the background. All the ingredients in the description seem as if they are present, but even in a small room, this fragrance is difficult for me to pick up. I purchased this small tumber, as a means to sample the fragrance. And, though it is pleasant, after several hours of burn time, there just wasn't enough throw in it for me, so I took it back and got something else.

Wonderful scent
The Mistle Toe scented candle to me is the candle that smells the truest to a real Christmas tree. The other scents may contain the pine scent, but they do not compare. I love this candle. Truest to a Christmas Tree by far.
