Hi KathyQ! The Easy Meltcups Should not be used with any other devices than Scenterpiece Wax Warmers. We do not test our products under other conditions than the once designed for therefore we can not guarantee the safety when use inappropriately. In this case You were using incorrect appliance. Hi, we truly appreciate taking the time to write to us with your inquiry if gel tins can be used on wax warmers. Please take note that these items are uniquely made and not cross compatible with other products. Meaning, Gel tins can only be used on Gel tin warmes and Meltcups can only be used on Scenterpiece warmers. Will this fit into the old wax tart melters and not just the easymelt cup warmers? I do not have the warmer for the cups, but I have the wax tart version where you put the tarts into a little bowl. Can I take the bowl out and just put this in instead?

I don’t think they work the same. I tried one time trying a tart in my cup warmer Big Mistake! If you have a tart type melter you could try just pop wax out of cup. Good Luck.
