Awesome scent!
Scent is incredible and pungent enough my whole patio smells delicious! I am not sure whether the mosquitos are repelled as I have several repelling units outside, therefore I didn't want to speak to that. All in all I would recommend these candles to anyone who enjoys being outside but still wants the enjoyment of candles.

bought one of these candles and ive burned it the past couple days, it has filled my house up with black soot all through my house, we have changed the filter in the house everyday for the past three days....i sleep with a cpap machine and i woke up this morning and the hoses were black and my face and blankets were covered in black soot . i have never had this problem before with yankee candles except for the candles in tin .

Perfect for your outdoor oasis experience!
I’m so happy Yankee offers candles in containers with fragrances targeted for outdoor use. The tin container is perfect for poolside enjoyment without having to worry about glass breakage. This lemongrass fragrance is intense without being overwhelming. The scent permeates throughout our spacious patio area. Lemongrass is is considered to be a natural mosquito repellant. I can’t say for sure whether this candle repels mosquitos, but whenever it burn it, I don’t see mosquitoes in my personal space.
Please exercise caution while burning your candles outside and never leave candles unattended. Be safe and enjoy!

Outdoor Greatness!
I absolutely love this outdoor candle! If you’re tired of the same old citronella scent, you’ve got to try Sparkling Lemongrass. It’s such a lemony delight to your senses without being overwhelming as some citrus scents are. And yeah the bugs hate it. So wonderful scent, pretty container, and keeps away the bugs.

Sadly, no. Had it under the front of my chair while sitting outside at dusk. They were still landing on my legs/ ankles and biting me.
