I recently purchased and burned “Picnic in the park”. I do not care for strong scents and fragrances that cover up orders or smells. I simple burn to add a warm nostalgic feeling to the center of my home. Like many of the Yankee Candle products this candle delivers!! If you have ever sat in secluded field or park that is surrounded by trees, bushes, water this candle will bring you right back there. And if you have not, there is no need, this mild scent will transport you to that setting. Buy it! and enjoy it.

not a fan of single wick jar candles..i finished this candle today and there was 0.75 inch of wax left that would not burn...that's several hours wasted

I bought this candle because I had never heard of this scent and I liked that it looked old. It smells like green apples to me but there are definitely other scents in there. You can't go wrong with Yankee, you will always get a quality candle.

Nice scent
Not what I excepted in a good way!!! I thought this would smell outdoorsy but to me it gives pear.. which I’ve been wanting a pear candle from Yankee for a while. Love it! I recently tried many different candle brands and I always come back to Yankee for their quality. It’s a great candle anyways.

I was pleasantly surprised by Picnic the Park!! It’s a light, fresh smell of outdoors - to me it’s a combination of floral and fruit. A very pleasant scent. And the throw is very good, but not overwhelming. I’d give it 8.5. I’m very happy with this delightful scent!!

Nice but not what I expected
I bought this online and without any fragrance notes listed it was a bit of a shot in the dark. I expected a breezy, grassy, outdoorsy type scent based on the name and picture. That’s not at all what this candle is. I definitely get a sweetness and vanilla from this so I’m guessing there is probably vanilla as the base of this scent. After that it’s a delicate fruity scent I notice, something fresh and lighter like melon or kiwi type fruits. I really ended up liking this candle but was just surprised when I opened it and burned it for the first time since it was not at all what I expected. For being on the delicate side it has a really good throw and is actually quite strong, about 7/10, I could smell it throughout the first floor of my house.

Sunny summer fragrance with a fruity smell
I like this fruity fresh candle with a touch of vanilla. There are some strawberry tones as well as some mango that come through. It reminds me of summer and times of eating a picnic lunch on a blanket under a tree. I bought this candle in the original style jar that has a single wick. I would buy it again in the newer jar with two wicks because those seem to burn more evenly.
