I’ve been using these plugins for years. Lately the refills spill all over my fingers. Is it safe to still use them? Since it’s hard to clean the old oil off the used plug-ins I get new ones but don’t find any plain ones. Will YC ever carry those again?

I have used the airwick refills and yes they do work in the holder. Just have to make sure that you purchase the correct one that have a flat side so they both can fit in the holder.

When I change out one scent for another when it's time to refill it, will the old scent transfer (linger) from the old one? And if so, can you clean out the old scent?

Once you change fragrances in your ScentPlug™ base unit, you will be able to smell your new scent immediately! There is no need to clean out your base unit and should not smell the previous scent.
