Description
To enjoy your candles to their fullest, a certain amount of care is required. Keeping their wicks trimmed properly will help your candles burn fully and last longer. Specifically, your candle's wick should be trimmed after every 4 hours of burn time. Let the candle come to room temperature, then trim the wick to 1/8-inch before relighting. That length helps create complete combustion, which means less soot is formed while the candle is burning. This is where our Perfect Wick Trimmer comes in - place the bottom of the trimmer flush with the candle surface, rock the trimmer back so that its "elbow" rests on the surface, this keeps the trimmer at a 45-degree angle and helps ensure the cut is to the proper length. Simple! Enjoy your candles and their fragrances, then repeat again after every 4 hours of burn time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had bought this sooner Face it, a wick trimmer seems more like a want than a need. I probably would have gone all my life without one had I not received a defective candle and decided to accept this in exchange. Now that I have one, I feel like a ninny that I didn't get one sooner. The balance on this is really good. It will hang over the edge of a table or shelf ledge quite nicely without addition support. I will admit, I added some felt tabs to the shelf to help hold them in place because there's a lot of activity in this house, otherwise, they'd stay there happily. They will also stick to magnets. If you have a magnet strip that holds kitchen tools, they just barely fit. If you have a magnet strip that sticks out a little further, they will stick nicely. I have trouble discerning dark objects from dark backgrounds, so I was glad to try the pearlescent. They are a tad bit bright, but at least I can find them!
