When u first open then candle and light it, there's a strong unpleasant scent to it ... But if u just sit the candle open with the lid off, the scent is a little less unpleasant
I would recommend not lighting the candle for a more pleasant experience

Love it!

Smells like a Wal-Mart bathroom
I have over a hundred Yankee candle scents. This one is my very least favorite. It smells like Wal-Mart bathroom air freshener. Just gross and off putting. My husband doesn't like it either.
