Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complex vanilla scent Rich vanilla scent with praline and cinnamon notes. Very good throw within several rooms. As you burn the candle, the melted wax turns darker and creates an ombre effect in the jar- very pretty- along with little brown scent bubbles. Only negative is that you get less burn hours than traditional jar candles (less wax and double wicks = faster burn) yet this jar is the same price. Overall, one of my favorite Yankee scents.

That’s that hard thing with YC continually taking their physical stores out of suburbs, you can’t smell in person first and these are expensive to just feel so-so about it. I was disappointed that it’s only 20oz but same price as the larger (22oz) jars. I won’t buy this style again, I’ll stick with the jars.

It's not straight-up vanilla, it has a soft but rich home cozy kinda smell to it if that makes sense. It's an amazing smell, 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complex Milky Vanilla This is very close to the discontinued Steamed Vanilla Milk. My overall scent impressions, in order of impact, are Sweet, Milky, Dark, Vanilla and Cookie. I would say this is my favorite of the Yankee vanillas and even the cookie scents because this one is toastier and dressed up with touches of cinnamon, praline, musk, and florals that enhance the vanilla note. Clear vanillas or sugar cookie scents are not my preference - those are too sweet for me. This is a very warm, cooked custard vanilla with lots of shadowy notes and the aroma of toasted caramelized sugar that tops creme brulee. Throw is medium-strong; it fills my living room and I can easily smell it up the stairs and in the nearby rooms. No burn issues.

The reformulated candles now use a soy wax blend which produces a clean burning candle with extended burn time. It also allows the candle to burn more evenly, getting the most out of your candle. I personally am not a huge fan of that rich, burnt cookie scent so as far as the scent this is not my favorite. That burnt cookie smell isn't strong and doesn't overpower the vanilla scent, this unfortunately happens which many other candles. It smells very similar to the Bath&Body Works French Vanilla Body Spray a staple fragrance for them. It isn't a horrible or unpleasant scent at all but it wasn't my favorite. Functionality of the candle was great!
