Burned this for an hour while sitting a foot away from the candle, could not smell it at all. A shame, because cold it smelled very fresh and clean yet not detergent- or deodorant-like.

Not quite there
I'm on the fence with this one. I would really like this scent but just cannot get past a tweak of cheap fragrance. Wish i could figure out what it us but just can't. I so much would love to find a true "green" scent such as ferns to mix with florals. Please find this scent YC then i would not have to go to your competitor to get my absolute favorite Bobs Flower Shop. Just keeping it real.

Clean and Bright
To me, this candle is reminiscent of spring rain, and I could actually get a hint of the fresh cut grass. It burned smoothly and has a nice throw for a bedroom. My dad, however, said he thought it smelled like laundry detergent.

Nice scent for my bathroom.
I like it! It isn't a unique smell, in my opinion. It smells a lot like other similarly named scents on the market; very fresh, crisp, flowery. Very strong. I bought it for my bathroom because it is green, and luckily the scent works really well as room "freshener". Just by being in the room, unlit, it fills the air with meadow showers, masking the litterbox odor. I'll most likely buy this again in the future.

I am a cat owner and dog owner---this fragrance makes my house smell wonderful---my friend comented how nice my house smelled--couldn't tell I had two cats and a dog!---I love yankee candle---I use candles and the scent plugs---all the time---

Pretty
This is such a pretty blend. It is sweet with notes that remind one of fresh air, rain, wet grass and a touch of the ubiquitous soapy floral that Yankee likes to add to these types of blends. It is appealing and worth your time to smell if these categories peak your interest. After all, what do meadow showers really smell like? Probably not like this at all but the scent itself is pleasant, nonetheless. I found the throw to be on the medium side.

Clean, plant-like, and somewhat sweet
On cold sniff, it's fresh, light, and clean. There's a hint of grassiness to it, but the strongest note is the cutting, clean, vaguely watery smell.
While burning, there's a clean and mildly outdoorsy with a surprising hint of sweetness underneath the plant-like note. It has a good throw and medium scent. It seems to get both sweeter and “greener” the longer it burns, but not unpleasantly so. Though the sweet note mixes well with the plant-like note, it does overtake it after a while.
The scent is moderate, sweetly clean, and pleasant. It melts evenly but quickly and manages to fill a large room without becoming overpowering. It's a little too heavy/sweet for me to call it “fresh”. Not nearly as grassy or outdoorsy as I would have liked, but it's by no means floral or food-like in its sweetness.

Outdoorsy Fresh
I love cleam smelling scents and this is clean it does smell like a mix of morning dew on the grass. I like the scent but It's not my favorite. It was a little too "grassy" smelling for me but it is still pleasant nontheless.

I give this 3 stars not because it's a bad product, but it just doesn't quite smell like what I would expect meadows to smell like. It just smells like someone's mowed lawn. If you like that kind of smell, then this is the candle for you. The scent is pretty strong, so you will really get the scent throughout your entire home. For me, I'll burn the remaining ones that I have purchased and will probably not buy this scent again.

They hit it dead on with the reference to raindrops. Green grass however is not something smelt in this candle. It's very clean and would do good for odor eliminating such as in bathrooms.

Fresh air.
This is one of our favorites to burn. It's very much like the fresh air aroma of windows wide open on a spring morning, which comes in handy when you live in Florida and it's too warm to have windows open in the spring. It's a "clean and green" sort of scent, but I like it better than the Fresh Cut Grass or Green Grass scents -- less grassy and more "fresh and clean." This scent has always given me a pretty powerful throw, so I stick to votives in the smaller spaces and save the jars for larger, more open rooms.

Smells clean and fresh, however the smell does not seem to last very long ended up adding a second one just to be able to smell in one room. This seems to be an ongoing problem with Yankee Candle lately.

This candle makes my home feel like spring/summer
I use Meadow Showers candles around my home. I love the fresh scent of the outdoors. Not too light, certainly not too strong. Smells as if hubby is mowing the lawn. This scent is actually deeper, to me, than fresh cut grass. Though, that's another favorite of mine as well. I love to sit and read with Meadow Showers burning.Goes in line very well with the spring and summer seasons. Very appropriate to have going even when entertaining guests with a meal. Won't overpower them. I highly recommend this scent. I have all 3 sized jar candles around the house depending on the rooms size as well as votives in holders for decor. I change my bathroom decor colors seasonally and now both have green so these candles match beautifully.

Fresh and Green
I understand some of the reviews that say the scent is perfumey. I had a perfume, Clean Outdoor Shower Fresh, that smelled almost exactly like this candle. It is reminiscent of rain on grass, a very green and fresh scent, but it is not an exact replica. However, it's not at all unpleasant and the throw is great.

Relaxing and Fresh!
Since I already stocked up on Greenhouse, I bought a few of of these samplers to try and also for a slightly different scent. They performed very well giving me several days of burning, which was a pleasant surprise. It gave off a good amount of scent for the size of the candle. The scent is fresh, sort of like fresh grass with a bit of floral mixed in. Meadow Showers is similar to Greenhouse, but with just a touch of floral. It was a very refreshing scent. Hmmmm, I may have to buy some more candles!

The fresh smell of spring
I like to purchase the votive sampler candles prior to purchasing a larger candle to make sure I like the scent. There is no doubt that I am in love with this fragrance! It has such a wonderful "fresh" scent without being overbearing. Even my mom liked the scent and she is picky when it comes to fragrances. This candle reminds me of a spring. The votive was able to scent my bedroom in about a 1.5 hours and has maintained its scent once lit. I will definitely be buying the larger version of this candle!

Smells like fresh rain on a spring day
I was in search of this particular color of candle to match my decor as well as a fresh scent. Being a big fan of yankee candles I was very pleased. The candle scent reminds me of rain in a field on a warm spring day. This shade of green was very pleasing too.

Fresh, clean smell
I enjoyed it although it was fairly light, so it might be better as a larger candle size. Would get it again. Sort of a cut grass smell- although I havent tried that Yankee candle yet.

Too perfumey to be fresh
Meadow Showers votive candle is fairly perfumey and overpowering. It smells vaguely of rain, but mostly of powder and perfume. Fresher scents from Yankee Candle are their Fresh Mint and Greenhouse.
