Very faint smell. I'm 2 feet from candles and barely smell anything. Pity. Would not suggest to family or friends. Yankee Candle quality has SUFFERED SEVERELY! Dollar store candles smell stronger and last much longer.

Balsam & Clove is a great, relaxing scent.
As with the Balsam & Cedar, I love the scent, and I love the fact that you can tell by the name what it smells like. Since there is no physical store near me, I will only buy candles with scents I can identify by the name, and this one is true to its name.

My favorite scent!
I’ve been using this one for years and it’s fantastic! My favorite! It’s really strong too and I have no problem with the throw. But, I buy a lot when I find it on sale, so I don’t know if anything has changed with the newer ones. It’s slightly woodsy, a touch masculine, but a really, really nice sexy scent, with some spice and sweetness too. I would not call this Christmasy, it’s good any time. I absolutely love it!

No scent!
First off, I love Yankee candle and have a cabinet full. I picked up this candle from Deerfield, MA. Smells really nice in the jar but when burning, no scent at all. Not sure if there is a problem with this candle. Very disappointing.

Subtle and cozy
I loved the scent when I smelled it in the store- cozy and a bit fresh. However the scent is subtle compared to other Yankee Candles when burned in the main room of my house. I'm used to the typical Yankee Candle enormous throw- this particular scent is much lighter and needs a smaller room than my other jar candles.

Winter Nostalgia
The Balsam and Clove scent is one of my favorites for winter. It’s warm and spicy and nostalgic, sort of masculine, very cozy. It reminds me of evergreen boughs and a crackling fire in the fireplace on a cold night.
