Relaxing Rituals™ Sage
Best Relaxing Rituals I've tried so far
Unlike many other candles in the RR line (specifically, sandalwood, lavendar/vanilla and sea salt), Relaxing Rituals Sage has superb throw within minutes of lighting and a strong, soothing scent. "Verdant" is the word that most vividly comes to mind, with some of the freshness you can find in Greenhouse or other "fresh outdoor" scents. I would absolutely buy Sage again (it's a perfect bathroom or transition scent between rooms/other candles), and its strength actually makes me eager to try the Eucalyptus candle in the RR line.

First impression - not great
I purchased three of the relaxing rituals votives from my local Yankee store yesterday - the Sage, the Cedar Wood, and the Sea Salt. I burned the Sage this morning for the first time - now I understand that you aren't going to get a huge throw off a votive. My expectation is that it would fill the room it was lit in (a small office) with scent, about half-way through the votive and not much of a scent. My impression is that Yankee intends for the votives to be burned three a time in the votive holder that they are promoting - which is fine, but for the burn time of a votive at a regular price of $2 a pop, I'd be hesitant to by three to burn at once.
Having said all of that - here's the thing. There are plenty of companies large and small, cheap and not so cheap, that sell aromatherapy style candles like these. So unfortunately, if the scent isn't very strong or doesn't carry well, one already has a large range of competitors for which to look at alternatives.
I admire the thought behind this product line but I think I will stick with the classic scent votives. Personally I do wish that instead of trying these new gimmicks (Relaxing Rituals, Man Candles, Popsicle Candles, Coconut Candles, etc.) Yankee would instead bring back more of the classic, retired, popular scents in forms other than the 24 oz jars, such as tumblers, votives, and tarts.
