Better than I imagined!
Love all things woodsy and warm. I found out Fireside was discontinued and wondered if I could find a replacement. I did, and this is even better. It smells just like a fire burning and a faint woods smell. This may in fact be my new favorite. Reminds me of the smell in the lobby at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Love it and miss the Small "non crackly" version
This used to be available (as I guessing did all of the Pure Radiance Candles) in smaller, non-crackling versions. I purchase quite a few before they stopped carrying them in the stores.
I was fortunate enough to find some on clearance in the factory store in NH and have sorely missed this fragrance since then. (even went as far as trying e-bay).
I would consider this a "man-dle" but my wife likes it too. Like the balsam and cedar but mellowed a bit by charcoal .. so, not quite as astringent to the nose.
I see they only carry the LARGE - I'm buying a back-up now JIC it is on it's way out :)

I love woodsy/fire smells and had very high expectations for this candle after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, I could not pick up on the smell of burning pine, and every year we always burn pine in our fireplace, so I should know what to expect. However, I got a strong scent of hot dogs! I'm not sure if it's the charcoal scent, but something was just off. The candle burned nicely and the crackling was extremely pleasant. However, the scent just didn't match for me, though my boyfriend did comment that he liked it.
I did have to return it due to allergies (it would cause my eyes to burn). This has happened before with Roses of Cliff Walk; the employee said it must be one of the oils they use. Sure wish I knew which it was so I could avoid it!

Very weird pungeant scent
This is a weird smell to me. I enjoy woodsy scents, but I don't know how to describe this. Not my thing.
Beautiful jar. Yankee has wonderful customer service, so I will exchange it at my local store.

Color & Scent
Reds are my favorite accent color and this time, the red isn't a fruity smell, it's mostly pine, which is a great scent! TY for switching it up.

My New Favorite
This is my first Crackling LumiWick candle. I chose it because I hoped it's fragrance and the crackling effect of the wick would work together to remind me of a fireplace, and I am completely satisfied. I have to use my coupons to buy a bunch of these to ensure that I will be enjoying them for a long time to come. (My other favorite fragrances are California Redwood and Christmas In Paris, both of which I discovered after they were discontinued.) I suspect the only time I will stop burning this candle daily is summertime, though I might still enjoy it as a reminder of a campfire then. I only wish there were tarts available!

PINE, CHARCOAL & BALSALM??
I was SOOO looking forward to these combined scents or to smelling something that resembled "the warm, welcoming feel of a crackling wood fire."
Instead, I got NO scent at all!
Sounds like it should be a strong scent, which I enjoy in my candles, but I must have received a defective one.
Sure the crackling is great - I also have Toasted Almond, and I DO hear that crackling.
And I love the textured, tall vase and wax color - looks so pretty in a formal living room.
But as far as Emberlight, the "light" in its name is more than what my candle had in fragrance!

Great Smelling and LumiWick is a must.
I was unsure about the LumiWick, but got it anyways. It was a great choice. This smells like a roaring fire, and the crackling of the LumiWick makes it even more realistic. I would suggest getting the LumiWick over the normal wick! The candle smells great!
