The way a rose should smell
The True Rose candle is like a rose fresh off the bush without being heavy or cloying. Reminds me of what a rose smelled like before scent took a backseat to appearance.

I LOVE the smell of this candle!! :-)
The Yankee Candles are the best, in my opinion. The smell is great when lite, and just makes the house have a comfy feeling. Smelling the candle before purchase is one thing, but getting it home and lighting it is another. Have been a Yankee fan for a long time, and will continue to be. Thanks for making a great product, and coming up with all these scents that we can enjoy. :-) :-)

Really does smell true to life
I actually got this candle for Valentines day, and i must say i love it! It's actually gone now.. (used it everyday!)
But i will surely get it again sometime ..
i don't think the smell of the rose is overpowering, and i think sometimes the flower scented candles are..
i think this one has just the right amount.
i really liked this candle, but i don't think it would be one of the ones where i stalk up on it.

Does Smell Like A Red Rose Scented Candle But A Very Light/Med One..
Thought I would give this "smaller" candle jar a whirl when Yankee had a big sale on all smaller jar candles. I did enjoy it (but don't usually buy such small jars). Probably the reason I didn't smell much (maybe)? Still a very light scented rose candle. As another reviewer stated..I personally LOVE "fresh cut roses" (my favorite Yankee candle). Maybe I will also try burning them both together, buy the big jars as always from now on, or stick to my favorites..If you would like a stronger (no, not something to make you feel sick/headache scent) & a more feminine scent bypass this one here & go with "fresh cut roses". Looking for a lighter scent try this..

This product smells wonderful!
My bathroom is all roses and this adds to the appeal. I highly recommend it.

True Rose is true to name
I have several True Rose candles. It isn't my favorite rose scent - I prefer Fresh Cut Roses - but when I burn this and Fresh Cut it is like living in a rose garden! I have now started buying both FCR and TR candles so the scents can blend together.
