Visually Beautiful, but Disappointing Throw
I've never been a "beach person." However, this candle's fragrance reminds me of Crabtree & Evelyn's Goat Milk Soap, my staple bath product in childhood. I was smitten when I smelled the candle in the store.
I lit this candle, burned it a little over four hours. The wax pool is visually and artistically pleasing. Candle color is sandy beige and the melted wax is a deeper beige, like wet sand.
However, I experienced no fragrance throw. I mean absolutely nothing. If I stood next to the candle and pushed my nose an inch or so near the flame, I got a whiff of the fresh, clean scent, but not even a whisper of it filled my office.
I'm either returning this tumbler or exchanging it for a housewarmer jar.

WOW !!!!
Perhaps one of the best candles YC makes... Smells just like suntan lotion with the right amount of throw. I buy this candle yearly. The best " beach " candle so far..

my second favorite candle in the world
good smelling sun tan lotion sun warmed sand in a jar. love it. light it close your eyes and it smells like your at the beach.

I can almost feel the sun on my skin and hear the waves crashing
The fragrance of Sun and Sand is delightful and nostalgic. My happy place is the beach and this smell sucks me straight into the illusion that I am standing on the shore soaking in the sun and feeling the waves roll in over my feet. The scent is reminiscent of a pleasant sun tan lotion and of sand being warmed by the sun.
If i had one complaint it would be that the scent is a little too subtle to fill a room. If it were a bit more powerful this would be the perfect candle for me.

This actually smells like the beach!
I LOVE THIS! Its the only one of YC that actually smells like the shore (in my opinion). I walk into my apartment and swear it's a beach condo. This candle burns beautifully!

Wonderful smell, great value!
Such a perfect summer candle; and wonderful to reminisce about our Florida trip with the smell of sand and sunscreen. :) And, as always, Yankee candles have great value- they burn for a very long time and they burn evenly. No short wicks/too much wax here!
