Love the scent
As we get older, we tend to think back on our childhood to fonder memories. When you came out with Sun and Sand, it reminded me so much of a suntan lotion from years ago. Though I don't get out in the sun much and didn't then, I loved the smell and put it on anyway. Today, with YK's Sun and Sand, all I have to do is turn on my electric tart burner. I'm forgetful and don't trust myself with open flame, so the tart burner is perfect for me. If I leave the house and forget to turn it off, I don't worry about it.

Suntan Lotion
That's what Sun & Sand smells like to me. Suntan lotion. I feel need to reapply some Banana Boat. I think go without.

Just doesn't smell like Sun & Sand when melted
My favorite Yankee candle right now is Sun & Sand - just smells so much like the beach - calm and soothing. I decided to try the wax tarts assuming they would smell the same when melted but they do not. When you open the package the smell is right but when melted they give off this musky smell and not at all like the candle. I bought 12 of them and have tried different ones thinking maybe the first couple were just off but I'm on my 4th one now and it's just not even close to the candle.

I hear the beach calling
It really does smell like the beach. It brings me back to the days where I had time to spare and hang out at the beach. I miss those days but this fragrance does bring me back to good times. Makes the house smell like suntan lotion-super!!

The Meaning of Beach
If there exists a candle in the YC collection that more truly defines the word beach, I have yet to discover it.The fact that it has been a favorite for so long attests to its vivid re-creation of hot sun and sand with that pervasive overlay of slathered-on suntan lotion. Altogether a classic, but for me personally so potent in fragrance that I have to use it in larger spaces or limit the burn time.

Sun & Sand Fever!!!
I love to go to Beach, Sun & Sand remind me of I am near Beach... I am ready to go to beach because I smell Sun & Sand because I am in good mood. :) I love to smell it. I am glad that Yankee made Sun & Sand help me good spirit!! I feel like Sun & Sand Fever.

Wow! What a surprise aroma
I was hesitant to purchase as I lean towards heavy spice scents. Although this is definitely not a spice scent, it is very difficult to describe. Why I was amazed is that I unwrapped the tart and placed in unlit warmer. When I arrived home & opened my car door 9 hours later, I could smell the delicious aroma of this scent. I couldn't wait to light it to see what the aroma would be. So, on first burn it was a light floral (I do not like florals) with a hint of lemon and balsam. Second burn was more of an orange flavor with a light hint of spice. Third burn is a true light lemon, orange, with a tinge of spice. Truly unique scent that I have not encountered from YC. This may become my favorite after 14 years of buying YC tarts.

If you love the beach, Sun & Sand is for you! The scent is like a mix of suntan lotion and beach air. Close your eyes and you"ll
feel like you're there. One of my favorites from Yankee!
