Strong throw, but unpleasant scent. I had one tart each of the new summer scents sitting on my office desk. All day long, I kept picking this one up and inhaling the scent... I loved it! Then I got it home and melted it right away. It had a really strong throw, which I want, but there was something off about this scent. Not only did I not like it, there was something even foul about it. I hate to say that and have never felt that way about any of YC scents, even my least favorites. Maybe there was something wrong with this batch??? May 22, 2014
A new favorite! I love this new scent! Sea Coral reminds me so much of one of my other favorites, Cozy Sweater, but just a bit lighter maybe. I just love it! I will be stocking up on this one for sure! April 13, 2014
Bad change! My favorite new scent this year was cozy sweater. That's what this is with a change I can't figure out. Please bring my cozy sweater back! April 6, 2014
Musty and heavy. When I smelled this in the store I immediately thought of one of my favorite scents Cozy Sweater. At home when I melted it a note came through (not sure what it is) that I do not like. I love fresh scents. I would not consider this fresh. It's more earthy. I think if you do like Cozy Sweater or Soft Blanket it might worth a shot to try a tart. I think they share some of the same notes. It's very strong so kudos to YC on it's scent throw. It's just not for me. I am so happy I tried it and got it during the $1 tart sale. I also got a votive. Perhaps it will be more subtle and more to my liking. I might mix it with Ocean Star like the swirl candle. April 5, 2014
Sail Away!! While "coral" really has no scent, these "Sea Coral" tarts gave off a scent of the salty ocean on a cruise, along with what I recall as the scent of seaweed and driftwood on a beach (muskiness?). I love bringing the scents of nature into my home. I am definitely not a fan of "food" scents, other than fruit. April 4, 2014
Sea Coral When I first smelled this scent in the jar, it smelled nice. Thank goodness I only purchased a tart to try, as this one did not work for me. It started out okay, but as the scent became stronger, it smelled like very salty soup broth. Ironically, it made my throat feel sore. I have to say that overall, I'm pretty disappointed in the new summer line. The scents seem very dull and uninspired. I'm sure it's hard to come up with new and different candles all the time but maybe have your loyal customers submit their ideas. Here are some of mine: Classic Ice Cream flavors like neapolitan, mint chocolate, rocky road, etc. Soda Shop flavors like cream soda or ginger ale, bring back root beer State based flowers (in Texas we have bluebonnets, yellow rose and Indian blanket) Continue other candy candles like Peeps (would love peanut butter cup!) Or something completely out of the box like fresh French bread! Anyone else have any ideas? March 29, 2014
