Headache of Apples I would recommend this scent to a person that is able to stand apple scents. I am apparently not that kind of person, because I put it in the warmer and within an hour I had to take it out, because it brought on a strong headache with vomiting. If you like apples I would say it is for you, but beware it is very strong. March 29, 2014
Perfect!!! This tart has a very strong throw, which I absolutely love! I can smell it throughout my 1284 sq ft apartment when melting, and it smells like you're biting into a big, red, juicy apple. Another one of my faves. The scent lasts and lasts long after you turn off the warmer. If you like apples and strong throws...this one is for you! February 23, 2014
Nice scent to mix, nice throw. We mixed this scent with salted caramel for a caramel apple scent and it was very pleasant. The throw of both scents was good and we look forward to burning it again. September 27, 2013
old with no scent I just got into yankee candles recently and went crazy for my first haul. I smelled the jar shaped wax melt of this scent and was blown away with how good it smelled. i didn't feel like spending the extra money on the new jar wax melts so i got the macintosh scent in tart form. I opened the macintosh tart and saw that it didn't have the signature "Yankee Candle Co." stamp on it. I smelled it unwrapped and it did not smell anything like the jar melt. Actually, it was barely fragrant. I put it in the warmer anyway thinking that maybe it would become more fragrant but it did not. I would think that the tarts should smell just as good and strong as the jar wax melts. Maybe i just got an old one. I don't think i'll be picking up this scent in tart form again. September 22, 2013
An apple a day.... A few years ago I burned a votive of this and was not overly impressed with either fragrance or throw. Recently, though, I was looking for a tart to blend with Autumn Wreath, a scent I like but which can give me a headache because I find it so strong and pervasive. Combining these two tarts half and half worked like a charm to add a kick of freshness to the spices and mellow them out. I am so pleased to be able to enjoy both. I noticed that in tart form, MacIntosh really held its own aroma well, which reinforces my belief that tarts throw out a lot of scent and are terrific value for cost! New respect for the power of MacIntosh here. September 6, 2013
Ahhhhhh This has always been my favorite candle. I bought this as a tart this time and do wonder why the tarts fragrance fades so much faster than the candles but... It is still my favorite. June 10, 2013
a great smell I use either in my kitchen or bathroom always a fresh and clean smell not over whelming May 25, 2013
Let down I am glad this was only a dollar at the time of purchase, because it did not have any throw after it melted. Unwrapping it out of the package it smelled great, I couldn't wait to burn it. But for some reason the scent was not there at all. I see everyone raving over the Apple Pumpkin, will give that a try. I think I will stick to other fruits and skip the MacIntosh for now.
