Golden Sands™ Scented Candle
Nice scent itself, but very weak
I really liked this fragrance (Golden sand), but the strength of the votive candle was just too weak. Before I used to buy Yankee candles a lot, and they smelled very strongly even if they were not lit! Now I put the votive right next to me and could smell nothing! Kind of disappointed with votive candles... I hope the jars smell as strong as before.
The same thing happened to the other candles i purchased (they were all votive samplers). Fragrances were barely noticeable, but very nice though...

Not Quite The Perfect Match
While I usually like YC's stronger scents with lots of throw, this time I was looking for a softer, lighter scent (but with decent throw) that was going to be used exclusively for relaxation purposes.
After sampling several fragrances during a YC visit a couple of weeks ago, I finally decided to get a few of these votives as I really liked the initial "cold sniff" of what I interpreted as a beautiful, soft scent reminiscent of powder and hints of vanilla--Perfect! The lovely peach color was like "icing on the cake."
Well, I lit my first votive a few nights ago with great anticipation, but after at least an hour or two, unfortunately I could hardly smell the fragrance from a short distance away, and when I came closer, the faint fragrance I did smell was indeed "too sweet" as another reviewer stated and it smelled almost "candy-like" to me, not at all like the mostly powdery with vanilla hint I was anticipating; disappointing, but fortunately I exchanged the remaining votives today.
To most (as based upon the reviews) this scent is a winner, but for me, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.

A little too sweet
This was a little more dessert like than I expected. Definitely pleasant, just not what I was looking for.

This votive has a light/medium throw to it. As someone who's looking for a more widely dispersed scent, I wasn't impressed. Golden Sands is pleasant, definitely a "warm" scent - the orange and vanilla were the predominant notes for me. What wax didn't melt with the votive I put in my tart burner and hoped for a stronger scent (which I've found works for other votives I want to smell more of). Nope, not this one. It's a good candle, just not of YC's best IMO. I'd much sooner go for Sun and Sand (beachy) or Pink Sands (sweet).

Like a less sweet pink sands, this is a moderate strength scent with a warmer tone. It's nice, not my favorite but I enjoyed it.

The scent infuses the house and puts a smile on your face.

Warm, sweet and soothing scent!
Probably my favorite YC scent that I've tried so far. It smells of warm, sweet vanilla with sandalwood and orange undertones. Very clean and comforting scent--- Kind of reminds me of a baby shampoo, for some reason. It is not as strong as some of the other YC scents, but that's ok as I plan to use the tarts in my tart warmer in my bathroom and the subtle scent is perfect for a smaller room (especially when we have guests over).
LOVE Golden Sands!
