Not for use with small jar candles.
I really like these and purchased the larger one a few years ago. I've been using it with a large or medium jar that's holding a very large candle shade. It's sitting as the centerpiece of my kitchen table. I thought I would add 2 of these for use on my end table. I guess I should have read more carefully because I intended to use the small jar, but it didn't fit. When I went back and read I realized it was mean for the tumbler jar candles instead. I guess I'll pick up a couple of those and return the small jars. Come to think of it with the large holder it seems like the jar is loose as well when the shade is not on it. It was probably not designed for the jar candles either....go figure.
Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was confused. Other than that for the price these are really nice. The finish is great, the shape is nice and consistent. They sit very flat, so they're put together carefully. They're also great to keep the candle from heating up the surface it's sitting on.
