Black Soapstone Votive Holder
Beautiful durable holder. I use with tealights as well as votives placed in the glass insert included with the product. I could somewhat understand someone new to YC not realizing the votives liquify completely, but for the ones with "years of experience" commenting on wax going all over that's on you. The votive safety guidelines states do not burn freestanding. Be safe and have a bit of common sense.

In one word...Beautiful.
I actually have 6 of these and absolutely love them. They are all different but blend in nicely in any room of the house. Mine all came with the glass votive. I would never think of putting a candle in a container that has holes in it...why anyone would I can't quite comprehend. I also plan on ordering more if there are any left....Love this product!!

No glass
Had hot wax all over my table . After all it said votive holder not tea light holder. What a mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use it as tea light holder.
Mine also came without a glass insert. I also burned a votive candle in it (after all, it is supposed to be a 'votive holder' and there is no mention of a glass insert in the product description). Mine also leaked wax. Since then I have used it with tea lights.

Wonderful
I just had to write this review as I have two of these holders and they both came with a clear glass holder that fits INSIDE of the soapstone and they function perfectly and are very pretty. Of course from the other review why would you even attempt to put in a votive in something that has holes without the insert? Yes it will melt all over your table but that is not Yankee Candles fault.... Love this holder!

Votive meltdown
I purchased this item thinking it would be a great addition to my decor. I put a votive candle in it, but waited until we had guests over to light the candle. My family and friends complimented the glow and smell. Much to my dismay, my husband looked over at the table and said that we have a problem with the candle. Because of all the open cut outs on the soapstone votive holder as the votive candle melted the HOT wax drained out of the cut outs. My ash (i.e. expensive) wooden end table now has an area that the finish is ruined. We waited until the wax dried so it was easier to remove. I threw ALL of it in the trash and I'm now searching for a non-Yankee candle item to cover where the finish (shine) is gone. I've purchased Yankee candle products for 25 years. I have no desire to put a match to any of their candles again. I'll stick with using my electric tart burners, car jars, or the new scented beads in a jar. (Btw... If you've never purchased the room spray... realize they are ONLY 1.5 oz, a very miniature bottle of spray fragrance)
