Truly Different Coconut
This is a lovely fragrance--more a sweet, light coconut than Coconut Bay. If you like coconut scents but are sometimes put off by the tangy quality coconut can have--give this one a try. It is unlike any coconut scent I have ever had. Almost smells like sweet baking coconut. I am really enjoying this one.

Not quite coconut...
My husband and I were looking for something a little different than our usual rotation of fresh candles. When we smelled this in the store we really liked it and could detect quiet notes of coconut. When we brought it home, I immediately lit it in our fairly large open concept kitchen/living room. Within 5 minutes the smell was very warm and filled the entire space nicely; the throw on this candle is superb! However, the fragrance is not what I would classify as coconut...to me it smells more like hazelnut coffee. It's a very warm, non-irritating fragrance (my husband is prone to headaches), but not what we expected at all. I think if you're looking for a more true coconut fragrance, this will let you down. I'll continue to burn it until it's gone, but sadly will not be repurchasing. Yankee Candles are always of supreme quality in my opinion, and this is no exception, but there are many other fragrances that suit me better.

Warm but Refreshing Scent!!
Black Coconut is a warm but cool, refreshing scent, if that makes any sense. When I sniffed this at the store, I felt slightly unsure of the scent because I am not that into coconut fragrances. Later, I walked back to take another whiff. It smelled a bit too sweet, but I still decided to try it out; a nice lady that worked there convinced me to try it out because it was to die for. I believed her, and it was a good thing I did. The candle was the first one I lit when I came home. The total opposite of what I was expecting, Black Coconut lit up my whole bedroom with its warm, coconut scent. Like one of the other reviews mentioned, I could sniff out the tiniest bit of black cherry in the fragrance. Black Coconut is not one of those super-cozy fragrances, but it is a warm scent that has a refreshing scent.

Black Coconut Bliss
One of the best new Yankee Candle scents. The right amount of coconut with a hint of what smells like black cherry. I have this one in every size for every room including a warmer. I'm normally cautious with coconut scents. This one is great . It doesn't smell like suntan lotion.

It was ok
I have this in the Large Two wick and the Large single wick. For some reason I get very little fragrance from this one. My single wick large jar smells much stronger....

This candle smells like #5 did
I tried the 'sniff' page when Black Coconut first came out, and I've ordered at LEAST 3 of them because they truly smell so good. The name was a little off-putting at first, but was I ever happy with my purchases!

My favorite new fragrance
I love the smell of this new candle. It really fills the air but is not overpowering. I am a hard core yankee candle customer, however lately I am not satisfied with the way the large tumblers are burning.
