I was really hoping for a true 'a banana bread is baking' scent.
It smelled nice still wrapped, but once lit, you smelled nothing at all..not even going up to it while burning. I let it burn for 4 hours and still no scent in the air at all.
It's always great to be able to try a votive before investing in an expensive jar.
I have also learned sometimes the opposite is true, a scent that seems too strong cold can be very nice while burning. An example is fresh mint. Those samplers seemed very potent unwrapped. Yet, they had just the right amount of scent while burning. They filled the area quickly with a perfect amount of scent.

I was disappointed by the complete lack of scent. I was expecting the smell of fresh baked banana nut bread to burst from my candle. Honestly, I could barely smell it with my nose an inch from the flame. I ordered the sample after reading other reviews, so I was very shocked and disappointed. I won't try this one again, but there are so many others to try! :)

Not very strong
I could hardly smell this candle. I like candles that have a strong scent and I couldn't smell this one unless I was on top of it.

A wonderful candle for any time of year
This candle reminds me of the banana bread my grandmother makes. Smells Great!

Just like my aunt's banana bread recipe!!
We have a tradition that when it snows we bake, and usually we bake my aunt's banana bread recipe. The smell in our house is so comforting, cozy and homey. When I saw this, I was hoping for that memory with this scent and wasn't disappointed! The banana scent is strong from the start, but after burning for about 45 minutes, you can smell the underlying nuttiness. Can't wait to get this one in a larger jar! I can see mixing this one with Whoopie Pie- YUMMY! (sometimes we add chocolate chips to the banana bread) Everyone is getting one of these for Christmas, so they can have this memory whenever they want!
